Diamond Studs: The Life of Jesse James
Big Fat Gap will
be performing in the first production of Diamond Studs in Chapel Hill
in 30 years. This musical was written by members of and close friends of
the Red Clay Ramblers. Big Fat Gap will be the musicians for the first-ever
recorded soundtrack to the play, as well as acting and playing in the
production, which will have a
2-week run beginning Thurs., Jan. 26, 2006.
"Thirty years ago, our original
Diamond Studs musical troupe went directly from Chapel Hill to Off-Broadway,
and the New York Times said, 'Yes, yes, a thousand times yes!' Now, we
are delighted to have a new generation of musicians' theatre enthusiasts
cakewalk Diamond Studs into the Fearrington Barn in Chatham County in early
'06!"
